Aile HafızasıAile HafızasıFamily Archive

How it works

This is how your
private family archive grows.

No app for your elders, Nine or Büyük Dede. No technical knowledge. Just WhatsApp — and step by step your family memories grow.

01

Pick a question

Choose a loving question from the library — about childhood, village life, migration, family, work or Bayram.

02

Send the WhatsApp link yourself

Aile Hafızası prepares the question as a WhatsApp message. You open WhatsApp and send it yourself — Dede, Nine or your parents need no app and no login, they reply as usual with a voice message.

03

A memory card is created

From the original voice Aile Hafızası automatically generates transcript, German translation and a summary — one memory card per voice message with audio, date, speaker and topics.

04

You build people, places & family tree

Aile Hafızası suggests people, places and time points — you confirm, correct or reject. The family tree only grows through you, nothing is auto-connected.

Step by step

From WhatsApp call to family archive.

  1. Start with 3 questions

Free. Choose from over 70 prepared questions — childhood, village, wedding, migration, Bayram, life lessons.

  2. Send via WhatsApp link

Aile Hafızası prepares the question as a WhatsApp message — with the right text and a link for the recipient. You send it from your own WhatsApp to Dede, Nine or your parents. They reply with a voice message — no app, no login. (Automatic sending via a central Aile Hafızası number is planned as a comfort feature and available depending on setup.)

  3. Audio is stored

Original audio stays untouched in European cloud — encrypted, accessible only to invited family members.

  4. Transcript is created

Automatically from the voice message. Stays in the original language — Turkish, German, Kurdish or Arabic.

  5. Photos can be added

Upload wedding pictures, village houses or family photos and link them to the stories.

  6. Entry lands in the archive

With summary, tags, place, year and suggested follow-up questions — automatically organized.

  7. Family listens and reads along

Invited family members can listen, read along, ask their own questions. Full GDPR data export (JSON) anytime as a safety copy.

For whom

Who is Aile Hafızası for?

For grandchildren

who want to preserve their grandparents' voices,

before they're gone. You don't have to know when the right moment is. The right moment is always now.

For diaspora families

who don't want to lose their roots,

even if the children already speak little Turkish. Aile Hafızası preserves language, village stories and cultural heritage.

For old photos

whose stories nobody has written down yet —

black-and-white, without names, without year, without place. Aile Hafızası connects pictures with the voices that explain them.

More than a book — a memory

Not a book.
A living family memory.

A book is optional. The real value is a private archive that grows with your family — story by story.

Original voices, not AI voices

Voice messages from Dede & Nine stay untouched — original voice, original dialect, original words. We do not clone anything.

No app for Dede & Nine

They need no account and no login. They receive a WhatsApp question and reply with a voice message. WhatsApp is enough.

Tell in Turkish, understand in English

The older generation answers in Turkish, in dialect or in whichever language feels right. Aile Hafızası provides transcript and English summary — original always available.

Answers become a chronicle

Each answer is automatically tagged with people, places, years and topics — and lands in timeline, map and family tree at the same time.

Preserve ancestors as roots

Great-grandparents and earlier generations no longer narrate via WhatsApp — but their names, places, photos and what grandparents say about them stay as roots in the family tree.

Photos with context

Old pictures get names, places, years again — and are linked to the matching voice message.

Places & village history

Köy, Mahalle, the old house, the harbor, the oven, the school — memories of places that may not exist anymore today.

Recipes & traditions

Family recipes, Bayram customs, wedding songs — cultural heritage as its own collection alongside the voices.

GDPR data export (JSON)

All contents of your archive as a structured JSON file to download — anytime, yours.

"A photo without a story becomes just a picture over time. Aile Hafızası connects photos with voice, names, places and memories."

Bridge between generations

Grandpa speaks Turkish.
Your children can still understand.

The original voice always remains the most important trace. To make the story understandable for children and grandchildren who no longer speak Turkish fluently, each recording includes a clear text translation below the original.

What we never do:

  • We never replace the original.
  • We never generate artificial answers.
  • We never clone voices.
  • The translation only exists as text.

Original

English translation

When the morning call to prayer echoed through our village, my mother would wake me. Cold water flowed from the village fountain. Before my father went to the field, he always held me close. Life in Sivas was hard back then — but we were very happy.

AI summary

Mehmet remembers his childhood in Sivas: cold mornings, his mother, simple village life and his father's closeness.
